Update XPGuard for MSFS

The General settings tab shows an update card and release notes when a new version is available. The Settings tab can also show a notification dot.

Install the update

Section titled “Install the update”
  1. Close MSFS.
  2. Open Settings → General in XPGuard.
  3. Choose Download & update and confirm.
  4. Run the downloaded setup after XPGuard closes.
  5. Check the Community folder for each simulator you use.
  6. Reopen XPGuard yourself.
  7. Wait for any scenery preparation, then start MSFS.

If the app cannot download the update, get the latest installer from xpguard.net. The app refuses an update while MSFS is running. Close the simulator and try again.

Check after updating

Section titled “Check after updating”

Review MSFS settings for new options. Load a flight and confirm the airport, Publisher, simulator connection, and VATSIM detection. Use MSFS troubleshooting if something no longer works.
