Update XPGuard for X-Plane

Close X-Plane before replacing plugin files. The plugin panel shows Update available when it finds a new release.

With the launcher

Section titled “With the launcher”
  1. Close X-Plane.
  2. Open the XPGuard Launcher and check its selected X-Plane folder.
  3. Click Update when offered.
  4. Wait for the update to finish.
  5. Use Launch X-Plane.

The launcher also handles its own updates.

With a manual installation

Download the latest plugin ZIP from xpguard.net. Replace the XPGuard plugin files while X-Plane is closed. Keep the platform folders, resources, and version file together. On macOS, follow the plugin quarantine steps if the new download is blocked.

Check after updating

Section titled “Check after updating”

Review X-Plane settings. Open the control panel and confirm the airport, Publisher, and VATSIM connection. If the xPilot bridge reports an older copy, update it from the panel and restart xPilot.
